The future greenway bridge over I-40
We aim to show strong public support for this important piece of the Cross Triangle Greenway and to help the City of Durham in their process. This was the most difficult section in our recent ride, and the bridge will open up a key corridor to commuters and recreational family cycling trips!
Latest word is that plans for bridge construction have been delayed from 2012 due to a funding shortfall. We all need to remain engaged to ensure this segment is completed by 2013.
We will let you know of any upcoming hearings or other events that could use public engagement to ensure timely completion.
